Improvement of usability🛠️ 

Odoo 18 is based on a complete redesign of the Presences app, making it more intuitive and user-friendly. The interface now helps HR teams and managers to quickly navigate and manage attendance data, saving time and reducing the risk of errors. 

Easy to Onboarding ✨

New users are welcomed by a step-by-step integration tutorial, allowing them to easily understand the distinction between kiosk mode and backend display. This smooth introduction to the application maximizes the potential of the tool from day one.  

In kiosk mode, employees can check-in & check-out without being registered as a user of the database. Simply select your name, scan a badge with a barcode or use an RFID token to connect.

Automatic Check-Out ⏱️

One of the new features in Odoo 18 is the Automatic Checkout feature! No more worry if employees forget to point - this feature disconnects them after their scheduled hours (with a configurable tolerance time), so that employees can still work overtime if they wish. This ensures accurate tracking and avoids errors due to manual corrections.

The Gantt view for a simple attendance tracking

By default, the new Gantt view provides a clear real-time overview of employee presence and takes into account different leave. Zoom in and out to see if your team has met the scheduled hours, with green indicating sufficient hours worked and red indicating overtime or missing hours. 

Validate overtime? Easy! ✅ 

Odoo 18 simplifie la validation d’heures supplémentaires. Les managers peuvent maintenant examiner et approuver les heures supplémentaires directement depuis la fiche de présence. Overtime is also displayed on a smart button in the employee form, making it even easier to track and validate overtime. 

Full integration with the Leave app 🌴 

The Attendance application is now fully integrated with the Leave module. This integration allows managers to view leave requests, vacations and sick days directly in the attendance log. Odoo 18 automatically calculates absences and adjusts planned hours accordingly, saving time and reducing manual adjustments.
